FAQ
What should I expect?
Worship music at FBC Decatur ranges from traditional hymns to popular praise anthems and usually feature the full Orchestra and Worship Choir. During the summer months, the choir and orchestra take some time off and music is led by piano only or by special ensembles and soloists.
What about my children?
We do offer Choir Care for children in Kindergarten thru 6th grade so that you may stay in rehearsal for the entire time. Childcare is also available for younger children in the preschool area. A reliable adult will stay with the children in a specified room until rehearsal has ended. To sign up for Choir Care or preschool care, contact the Music Ministry Assistant in the church office.
Do I need my own instrument?
Yes, you will need to provide your own instrument for Orchestra participation.
How do I sign up?
To be a part of the Worship Choir or FBC Orchestra, you may come to one of the Wednesday evening rehearsals or simply contact the Music Ministry Assistant in the church office for more information.
